Fun Ideas for the Thanksgiving Kids Table

Thanksgiving Table set with food with family surrounding the table | Ogden, UT

There’s an awful lot to think about when you’re hosting Thanksgiving, including how you will keep the little ones happy and occupied while the adults are feasting and conversing. Use these fun ideas for how to decorate and prepare a Thanksgiving children’s table so that your youngest dinner guests have a great time this holiday.

Coloring Pages

Nothing passes the time while waiting on desert like a little festive coloring. Print out some Thanksgiving-themed coloring pages for your kiddos ahead of time, and fill a few jars with different colored crayons that you can leave at the table. You can even take the creative space one step further by covering the kids table with a paper table cloth, inviting kids to draw and color right on the table.

Crafts that Inspire Gratitude

Set out an “I am thankful for…” book and invite kids to draw pictures or write sentences about what makes them feel gratitude. Alternatively, you can cut out leaf shapes from construction paper ahead of time, and invite the kids to write what they’re thankful for on each of the leaves. When finished, you can hang the leaves up with string creating a nice, homemade Thanksgiving decoration.

“Give Thanks” Centerpiece

As you’re picking out festive dinnerware and placemats for the kids table, remember to make an equally festive centerpiece. This is an easy do-it-yourself option and you can even invite the kids to help you make the “Give Thanks” centerpiece.

Electric Ford F-150 Prototype Tows 1 Million Pounds

2019 Ford F-150 | Ogden, UT

Until now, there haven’t been many options for drivers who want an electric vehicle but still need something that can tow and haul. However, at the beginning of this year, Ford announced that they’d be releasing an all-electric version of their Ford F-150. Since then, that announcement has inspired lots of excitement in the eco-conscious community.

Though Ford has yet to announce exactly when the all-electric F-150 will go into production, it has done a great job of keeping fans excited. This summer, Ford released a video that demonstrated the immense towing capabilities of the electric Ford F-150 prototype. In it, the chief engineer of the F-150, Linda Zhang, shows off the electric F-150 prototype’s towing power by pulling 42 2019 Ford F-150 trucks as well as 10 double-decker rail cars. Altogether, the electric Ford F-150 prototype tows 1 million pounds in the video.

Granted, the prototype boasts a greater capability than what the production version of the electric truck will offer. But whatever capability it does provide is sure to be enough to meet, and perhaps exceed, the needs of electric-truck consumers.
